Kiss and Tell, 10/26/09
Going to a Kiss show for me is the equivalent of Richard Simmons being in a room full of booty shorts or Charlie Sheen receiving an invitation to a fetish party at Heidi Fleiss' bungalow. Needless to say, it's the top of the Rock-n-Roll hierarchy.
Photo 1: This man needs no introduction.
He is Gene Simmons, co-founder of Kiss, star of Gene Simmon's Family Jewels and fantasy of countless females the world over.
You rabid Kiss fans will know that this photo would normally be taken during "God of Thunder" but not so fast, my friends. Gene threw us a curve ball and in lue of "God of Thunder" he played his solo before "I Love It Loud" instead. "Turn it up, I wanna be president. Loud, I wanna hear it loud, right between the eyes, I love it"....
Photo 2: How do you get the guys in Kiss to bend over? Drop a twenty dollar bill on the stage.
Photo 3: Can you guys guess when this photo of Paul was taken? If you guessed during "Rock-n-Roll All Night", then give yourself a rock- n- roll cookie.
Photo 4: One of the things I love best about going to a Kiss show is, it's like Halloween, the 4th of July and Kissmas all wrapped up into one event. One thing I can't say about their show is that you don't get your money's worth.
Photo 5: In this photo, Paul spotted Ray in the crowd and wanted to know if he had bought the Platinum package. When Ray told him no, Paul pointed him out to security and Ray was then escorted off the premises.
Photo 6: Tommy Thayer finds out what our female counterparts already know: High heels are murder after being on them all day.
Photo 7: Remember Milli Vanilli?
Photos 8,9 & 10: In these photos, Paul is testing the structural viability of his Washburn guitar.
Like Townshend and Hendrix before him, Paul quickly discovered that one smack will suffice. But, this is a Kiss show and of course Paul knows the man's mantra: "If less is good, then more is better". That's why there are plastic surgeons. Don't worry, it will come to you later..
