Arlington 2008 and the Doubleneck

Arlington 2008 and the Doubleneck

There are two things in this first photo that are exceptionally rare- the very first guitar made by the Fender Custom Shop and Mr. Jimmy Wallace, grinning like a cat eatin' cold cuts. This guitar was a featured item in his booth at the show and the tag was marked "priceless", so we didn't even ask. It's half- Stratocaster, half- Esquire and the Custom Shop could not have picked a more interesting piece to be their first creation. It's numbered 0001 and was masterbuilt by world- renowned luthier Michael Stevens; His work is hard enough to find, much less something like this. Of all the guitars in Jimmy's booth, we got the feeling he really liked this one and that indeed makes it priceless. We thought a picture of him giggling was worth even more....
