Fall Philly, 2008- The Sopranos Tour pt. 2- New York City
Frankie B. didn't tell us where he was taking us for these pictures but as we rounded a busy corner (we lost count), he had us turn up a small side street. This street was Hamilton Place and it followed the edge of a cliff, overlooking the Hudson river from the Jersey side. We've seen post cards, pictures and movies about New York City, but I must admit, we were speechless when presented with this view of Manhattan. The sun was just starting to set and the buildings at the south end of the island were all turning the color of gold. We cannot put into words how magnificent the spectacle of this city is when seen in person and from this vantage point. If you've never been at this spot, then make it a point to find it if you ever visit- it will truly be one of the highlights of your trip! I must mention that in photo 8, you will see the famous New Yorker building. This is the very building that the Supro and National lap steels were modeled after and is a landmark known the world over.
