Liz Wylde
Item Purchased: Ibanez IC-300 Korina

When I answered the phone that day, I was shocked to hear a female voice on the other end. By the tone of her voice, I could tell she was pleasant, but yet polished. The conversation I had with her was like two old friends that hadn't seen each other in years: Easy, flowing and natural. She confided in me that she was a shock jock and that her show, "The Liz Wylde Show" was a nationally syndicated radio show (that peaked my interest: Who was this woman?). When I asked her if she had ever interviewed anyone famous, the names that flowed off her tongue were those of Rock-n-Rolls nobility ( she was neither braggadocios or pretentious). As I later found out, she was just being Liz. After some small talk, the nature of her call was revealed; Liz informed me after much thought, she was in the market to sell a guitar. Not just any old guitar, but a family heirloom and after I learned the history of the guitar and what it represented to her, I felt honored to be the one chosen to be it's guardian. I sensed that this was not about money, but about carrying on the torch of a loved one lost years ago. As I got off the phone with her that day, I had a feeling that this chance meeting wasn't really left to chance at all. A wise man once said, "A consistent soul believes in destiny, a capricious one in chance". How this guitar came to me wasn't by chance but it was destiny. Thank you Liz for the guitar, your time and inspiration. You might be Liz Wylde to the rest of the world, but to me, you'll always be Annie....
