"The go- to guy". They're rare and fairly hard to come by because it takes such a special person to be one. We have our "go- to guys" for Les Pauls, Fender Custom Shop stuff and even vintage Charvels and Jacksons, but to be a first- call man on vintage Ricky basses takes a true connoisseur of the brand and instrument. That's exactly what Albert is: an honest and pure lover of Rickenbacker basses and he's part of a small group of guys when you consider all the different types of basses available on the market today. We're scarce on details about him; he originally hails from Louisville, KY., but now resides in gorgeous Buenos Aires, Argentina. I think that's a transition we'd all love to make, but as it turns out, Albert has become our guy to call when it comes to these vintage 4001's and Lee and I are quite proud to call him a member of the 'Elk Nation. As our family spreads across the planet, it's gentlemen like our own Mr. Durig that make what we do so enjoyable and rewarding. Albert, you have our humble gratitude and service- welcome to this quirky, wonderful herd of ours. |
