|David 'Big Dave' Bruneau
Send Me No Flowers...
Life is a precious gift and even more so to meet certain people along the way on this journey. To live a life fulfilled is what we all dream of, a purposeful life, a life with meaning and a life filled with laughter. A poet once wrote:
"A thousand times we die in one life. We crumble, break and tear apart until the layers of illusion are burned away and all that is left, is the truth of who and what we really are."
The "truth" of what we are. Songs are written about that and the truth is, some of us really never know the truth about who we really are. If the eyes are truly the mirror to the soul, then I can tell you I knew David Bruneau like that of a man that has walked in more than his own shoes. Ray and I have shared many laughs and more than a few meals with "Big Dave," and can tell you his infectious laughter and quick wit will be sorely missed. Ray and I got the news while on the road to Philadelphia and we just didn't understand why it was his time. I guess we'll never know. I tell Ray all the time my philosophy and that is, "Is the world a better place for others because they met you?" I can honestly say that my world was indeed a better place because I knew Big Dave. Rest in peace brother, untill then...
