When we first acquired this guitar, the main thing that jumped out at us was the fretboard. It's incredibly figured (for your typical Ricky 360) and I could not, for the life of me identify the wood. I did know one thing though: it was cool and unusual. So when in doubt and ya just don't know, ask someone who does and off I went over to talk to the guys in Rickyland. They were, as always very accommodating and gave me the skinny on this guitar. It's a 1984 360/6 in AutumnGlo (I already knew that) and the fretboard is made of Bubinga. That may or may not be special, but it complements what we think is a fantastic guitar that's already 28 years old and makes for exactly the kind of instrument we like to present here in 'Elkland. There is some light playwear on back and some pickswirls on the pickguard, but the tone is terrific and it's just a little different from the hundreds of other Rickys you see everyday.
