Do you love America? Depends on who you ask, I suppose. With all of the political rhetoric flying around on my T.V., the question makes me think: Well, do ya punk? I do love the people (well, most of them anyways.) There are some of us who sniff banana peels and run naked through the woods, but who am I to judge?
America- the land of the free or is it really? Well, there's not much to be had out here for free best I can tell and if it were, would you want it? When I think of the good 'ole U.S of A, two things come to mind. One: Ted Nugent. Yes friends, maybe just go right then exceed yourself. The message he touts may be a bit distorted, but you won't come away from a conversation with him thinking he's from the People's Republic of China. If killing furry animals, eating backstrap (whatever that is) and playing guitar so loudly, you sterilize the neighbor's cat is on your agenda, then Uncle Ted would be a fair representation of what you may think of as being an American. Lest I forget, guns for everyone and yes, that includes most three years old, but only in a daycare (you just know they (the three year- olds) have a God- given right to shoot yo ass if threatened.)
The other thing I think of is Fender, Gibson and Martin. All are good, quality guitars, all are world- renowned and all are easily identifiable. And the topper, you ask? Yep, they're all made right here in the good 'ole U.S.A. Friends, this limited edition pine Esquire is yet another example of what I speak. We all know the history of the Telecaster since it's inception back in '51. We also know on the countless players that have made a Tele their choice for commanding stages for years. I could go on about Page recording Zeppelin I with one of these. But you know what? I don't have to, because you already know.
This 6 lb 3 oz bundle of Fender joy is gonna feel like you think it will. The medium sized, "C" shaped neck is everything you remembered and once reunited, will be as an old friend. All I know is, you could physically look like Napoleon Dynamite, but with this guitar possess the soul of T- Bone Walker. Don't you just hear it, my friends from the lips of Stevie Nicks: Thunder only happens when it's raining
Players only love you when they're playing
They say women, they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean, you'll know
So in closing with my American theme, let the players be players and politicians be politicians. Because in the end, give unto Caesar what's Caesar and vote for Pedro. This is Lee Jackson and I approve this message.
