Blackmore, Hendrix, Malmsteen and Moore. Those four names are synonymous with a white Strat and I'll bet you can find pictures of years and years of those guys onstage with one. I'll now admit a small sin; This guitar reminded me of the guitarist in the band Angel, Mr. Punky Meadows. They were a band discovered by Gene Simmons in the 70's and were also signed to Casablanca records. They wore all white, with a white stage setup, which was in direct contrast to their lablemates, KISS. Punky traditionally played a black Strat, but on occasion, he would don an Oly White one and the look, in my opinion was complete. Just appeared so much cooler to my young, impressionable self. Angel also recorded a live album titled "Live Without a Net" long before that little-known polka band called Van Halen swiped it. It's a really, really good record that's getting pretty hard to find on vinyl. Sadly, Angel faded away under the tsunami that KISS would become and it wasn't that long before they were forgotten by their record label. They're still a great, 70's band that were actually ahead of their time.

This '75 Strat is one of the last good ones, made before Fender crept into the dark times that were the late 70's- early 80's. It comes in at a great weight of 7 lbs, 9 oz- that's incredible for a Fender made during this era. It's completely original and in what we consider fine condition, save for the touched-up boo boo inside the lower horn. Guess all 41 year-old guitars can't be mint, can they? That said, they can be clean and play and sound like a 100 dollar bill, which this one certainly does. Detailed, restrung with fresh strings, set-up and intonated- that's just another day here in 'Elkland and before you can say "scat," this one can be on your doorstep. Give us a call and find out all about it!
