You know me, I love to write a kooky story like a fat baby loves him some ice cream. I often wonder if you guys out there get where I'm coming from? I wonder if I should play it safe, kinda like a football team with a lead in the fourth quarter. In my opinion, playing it safe is playing "not to lose" instead of playing to win.
I want you guys to just sit back and imagine if you sat down every day to write descriptions, wouldn't just "listing the facts" about something get old to you? I'll tell you guys a secret; When Ray and I are on the road, traveling from sea to shining sea, invariably someone asks us, "And who writes those stories?" Ray and I normally reply, like, at the same time, "We both do." People, all we are trying to do is just be "us" and to be "us," you have to experience being free. "Being yourself" is a feat unto itself, but isn't having a distinct image of yourself the epitome of being a musician?
The signature of a guitarist is the way the musician expresses himself or as Bruce Lee put it, "The art of fighting without fighting." So, as Joe Friday said all the time in "Dragnet," "Just the facts ma'am."

Now, since I went all Joe Friday on ya, which do you prefer? Can't speak for ya, but the originality of the art of the Kooky Story is the one I prefer. I know you're the boss, but we are the ones that orchestrate your experiences here on Fantasy Island, right? That would make me, Mr.Roarke and Ray, Tattoo. Your fantasy- your call, really. But which one of you doesn't like being front row at Van Halen? Drinks flowing, girls ho'ing, while the brass band is blowing your favorite tunes. People, get outside of your own head and lay that cell phone down for just five minutes and join in. Shouldn't life be a participatory sport? Shouldn't it be, when you show up the party starts? If it doesn't, re-evaluate your life.
One last thing: The reason Ray and I do the story telling bit is to force you to call us because we, like Aunt Bee love to chat. Lose that Iphone and find yourself once more. Just saying....
