Description:
When Jon Schaffer of Iced Earth sat down to write 2004's "Glorious Burden," it was to this very Les Paul that he turned. "Burden" is a Heavy Metal masterpiece and starts off with "The Star Spangled Banner," of all songs. I mean, can it get any cooler? Yes, my brothers, it can and it starts with this guitar.

Weighing in at exactly 8 lbs, 10 oz., this 1960 Reissue is a #1 stunner from first sight. The tight, tiger flame Maple top simply pops from the guitar at any angle and serves quite well to accent the smooth Mahogany body. As to the sound of this 'Paul, I would suggest you ease on over to Youtube and dial up the aforementioned record. The tone is nothing less than crushing and the album as a whole is pretty darn good as far as Metal albums go. I got no complaints here.

The package includes the original case, tags, trussrod adjustment tool and a signed letter from Jon Schaffer stating that he used this guitar on the record. The knobs are obviously from an R9 or R9- we don't know if Jon changed them or they were put on at Gibson. Got a picture of him with the guitar, so the package as a whole is absolutely collector quality and the star association doesn't hurt either! This is one from the "good wood" years, so please call or email with any questions- we're sure you'll be more than satisfied when this "tiger" hits the house!
